1946 Game in Erie, Pennsylvania

 

    The Buckeyes played games
 all around, including the
 hometown of their owner,
 Ernest Wright Sr. in Erie, PA.

    The Buckeyes won this 
game against the Newark
Eagles.  One notable Eagles
player was Larry Doby who
Cleveland baseball fans
know well.  He was the first
African American to play in
the American League when he
played for the Indians.

    Another notable player for
the Eagles was Monte Irvin
who had a successful career
with the NY Giants and the
Chicago Cubs.
